Police in riot gear dispersed protesters from several shopping malls across Hong Kong on May 10, according to local reports. This footage shows officers blocking off a section of Harbour City Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui where pro-democracy activists gathered to sing. Local media group, SocREC uploaded this video and reported that officers were armed with pepper spray. Police said on Facebook that officers entered several malls in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories to break up groups of protesters waving banners and chanting slogans. They shared live footage from the scene in Tsim Sha Tsui and warned protesters that it was illegal to gather in groups of more than eight due to COVID-19 restrictions. In the nearby MOKO mall in Mong Kok, local reports said police fired rubber bullets to disperse crowds. Video showed officers with gas-powered guns.
