Heidi Alexander (born 17 April 1975) is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lewisham East since the 2010 general election. She was appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Health on 13 September 2015. She resigned from the shadow cabinet on 26 June 2016.The daughter of an electrician, Heidi Alexander was born in Swindon, Wiltshire, and attended the town's Churchfields Comprehensive School. She is a graduate of Durham University (Grey College, Durham) from where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and a Masters degree in European Urban and Regional Change. Wikipedia
