Black Panther took home the awards for Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.






CALIFORNIA - The highly anticipated Critics' Choice awards were held at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California on Sunday.

The 24th annual ceremony honours the best in film and television and it seems Black Panther remains a firm favourite.

The film took home the the awards for Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.

Black Panther is the third biggest movie in the United States to bypass the $700 million (R 9.7-billion) milestone.










The top actress award was split between Glenn Close for The Wife and Lady Gaga for A Star Is Born, while the best supporting actress in a drama series was taken by Thandie Newton for the Westworld.

Roma won the best picture and foreign language film award and Alfonso Cuaron also won individual awards including Best Director for the movie.
