JOHANNESBURG - 2018 has been a tough year for love with many of our favourite celebrity couples ending their relationships this year.

Below is a list of all the celebrity couples who have decided to call some time out on their relationships:

1.Proverb and Liesl Laurie

Although they have not officially confirmed their split, Idols presenter Proverb and former Miss SA Liesl Laurie have stopped posting pictures of each other on social media, leading many people to believe that they are no longer together

Proverb and Liesl, who have been together since 2016 were known for sharing their love with the rest of the world through cute pictures on Instagram and Twitter.

Rumours of their break-up were sparked after fans started to notice that they had deleted several pictures of each other on social media.

2. Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson

The whirlwind romance and engagement of Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson ended abruptly in October.

The couple were together for 5 months and officially ended a few months after Ari’s ex, Mac Miller died.

Grande has since released the ultimate break-up anthem, “Thank U, Next”, in which she addresses all her past lovers.

3. Thando Thabethe and Frans Mashao

Fans of media personality Thando Thabethe started to notice that she was no longer wearing her engagement ring in June 2018, sparking rumours of her split from long-time boyfriend Frans Mashoa.

The couple were set to walk down the aisle after getting engaged in 2017.

In several interviews Thabethe has refused to reveal the reason behind the break-up, however she has confirmed that she is no longer engaged to the businessman.

4. P. Diddy and Cassie

After nearly 11 years together rap mogul P. Diddy and musician Cassie Ventura broke up.

The couple were first linked together in 2007 but only went public about their relationship in 2012.

People magazine reported that the break up was amicable and that the two remain friends.

5. Cardi B and Offset

Cardi B and Offset officially called it quits in December after being married in October 2017.

Taking to Instagram Cardi said she is no longer with the rapper and that the break-up is no one’s fault, they just fell out of love.

Since then several women claiming that they were with Offset while he was still with Cardi have come forward.
