George H.W. Bush departed Houston on Monday as the nation's capital readies itself for the solemn and intense task of honoring the first president to be laid to rest in over a decade. By the time he returns to his home state on Thursday, Bush will have laid in state in the Capitol and been honored with a state funeral and a national day of mourning.
