Bill McRaven, former chancellor of the University of Texas System and a current UT-Austin professor, resigned on Aug. 20 from the Pentagon's technology advisory board, four days after an opinion piece he wrote was published criticizing the president's decision to revoke the security clearance of former CIA director John Brennan.
