‘Copycat suicides’ are a real danger after Anthony Bourdain, Kate Spade

The deaths of Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade could create a copycat effect among those with suicidal thoughts. A recent study in the journal PLOS One found that suicides in the US spiked nearly 10 percent in the five months after Robin Williams’ death in 2014.
