"Deadliest Catch" star Sig Hansen pleaded guilty to assault Wednesday, one year after he was arrested for a Seattle spitting scuffle with an Uber driver.

Hansen, 52, entered the plea as part of a deal with the Assistant Seattle City Attorney to drop a separate property destruction charge against him, according to the Seattle Times.

The Northwestern skipper was also reportedly ordered to undergo a second alcohol evaluation, despite the fact that his lawyer claimed he already voluntarily completed one that yielded "no significant problem."

The judge postponed Hansen's sentencing to June 28 in order for him to complete the evaluation.

Hansen, who has appeared on the popular Discovery Channel series since 2006, was arrested in May 2017 for spitting on his Uber driver and kicking and denting the man's car after he was told he could not pay for the ride in cash.

According to police reports, an "obviously intoxicated" Hansen initially denied the encounter and resisted arrest, though he was eventually booked in connection with misdemeanor assault and property destruction charges.

Following his guilty plea, Hansen told the Seattle Times in a statement the agreement let him close an "unfortunate situation that got out of hand."

"It is a significant step toward putting this issue behind me and getting back to what's important — my family, friends and career," he said.

Meanwhile, the Uber driver at the center of the incident, Waheed Lawal, reportedly has a civil case trial against Hansen scheduled for August.
