New Yorkers angry Empire State Building 'celebrates' Eagles win

That's not the Empire State of mind.
Following the Eagles' 41-33 win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII, New York's most iconic building decided to honor the team by using sparkling lights in the team's colors, despite the fact Philadelphia is the hated rival of the Giants.
As expected, many New Yorkers were not happy to see the Empire State Building pay tribute to a team that's mostly disliked in the Big Apple.
Many took their shots at the Empire State Building on Twitter after a photo of the building in Eagles colors was tweeted out from the official account.
This isn't the first time during this year's NFL postseason that the controllers of the skyscraper's lights were accused of poor judgment.
After the Eagles and Patriots both punched a ticket to Super Bowl LII two weeks ago, the building was illuminated in both Eagles and Patriots colors, even though both teams are big rivals of the Jets and Giants.
New Yorkers weren't happy then and they certainly weren't too thrilled seeing an iconic New York landmark celebrating the win again last night.
The only thing worse for Giants and Jets fans than seeing the building lit up in a rival's colors was watching Sunday night's Super Bowl.
The Eagles captured their first Super Bowl in franchise history and stopped the Patriots from capturing their sixth championship.
