Danny DeVito is a red M&M come to life in a 30-second Super Bowl commercial released Monday.
In a macabre twist, DeVito’s human form, elated that no one wants to eat him, instead gets hit by a garbage truck and thrown into a produce stand.
One of the passersby is choreographer and “RuPaul’s Drag Race” judge Todrick Hall, seen crossing the street and rejecting DeVito.
M&M had previously teased the commercial with a 15-second ad that featured DeVito partially submerged in a chocolate pool.
The candy company hasn’t had a Super Bowl ad since 2014, but has seen significant growth.
