How does an octopus exert dominance over his fishy friends? By using one of his eight “arms” to keep them in line. Researchers at Germany’s Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior clocked the punchy habit while studying how the different species hunt together in the Red Sea. They called the behavior “partner control mechanism.”
