Crime Prevention Officer for Laois and Offaly Sergeant Graham Kavanagh will meet with the people of Rathdowney on Monday July 8. The aim of this meeting is to try and establish a Community Alert Group for the local town. "Most towns in the area have them," said Rathdowney Garda Sergeant Paul Howard.
