The club have been monitoring Beale for some time and were keen to appoint a manager who will help the development of young players and encourage an attractive style of play. Beale succeeds Tony Mowbray, who was sacked by the Championship club earlier this month.Sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said: “We have monitored Michael’s career for some time and we are delighted to have reached an agreement for him to become our new head coach.
