President of Ireland Michael D Higgins has paid tribute to the Kilkenny playwright, writer and Aosdána member Thomas Kilroy, who has died aged 89. "It is with sadness that Sabina and I have I learned of the death of the noted playwright and Aosdána member Thomas Kilroy," he said in a statement today
