Teacher shortage crisis to ‘get worse’ across the country

Sky News contributor Steve Price says Australia’s teacher shortage crisis is only “going to get worse” with schools across the country struggling to fill thousands of positions.

Many students have been “forced to go back” to learning from home, Mr Price said.

Education Ministers across the country met on Monday to “trash out” solutions to the crisis, he said.

The Queensland Education Minister suggested free degrees and tax cuts for new teachers.

Shadow Education Minister Sarah Henderson joined Sky News contributor Steve Price to discuss the teacher shortage.
