Australia is set to face a once in a decade surge in electricity demand over the coming months.

Mr Sen encouraged Australians to get an EcoFlow portable power station.

“You just have them plugged in all the time so if something gives way in just a matter of milliseconds it can then fire up,” he told Sky News Australia.

He also suggested looking at Starlink satellite internet to stay online when facing patchy mobile coverage during outages.

“When the power goes out generally the NBN goes out around the neighbourhood so if you don’t have the cell coverage then satellite is a good option.”
