Protesters were arrested after staging a sit-in demonstration outside senators’ and representatives’ offices at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington on Wednesday, October 25, organizers said. IfNotNow, an American-Jewish organization supporting Palestine, said its members were demanding senators Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders and congresspeople Hakeem Jeffries and Katherine Clark call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
