Hyo Joo Kim protected her lead with a 3-under 68 in the second round of The Ascendant LPGA on Friday in The Colony, Texas.
The South Korean ranked No. 7 in the world moved to 10-under 132 through two rounds and will head into the weekend with a two-stroke lead over Paraguay's Sofia Garcia, who kept pace with a 68 of her own Friday.
