Sources reveal Meghan Markle considered running for a seat in the US Senate following the death of Californian Senator Dianne Feinstein.
A senior UK Labour party source confirmed to The Daily Mail on Sunday that the Duchess of Sussex had been networking with senior Democrats to build a grassroots campaign for her political ambitions.
Sky News host Caleb Bond said “thank God” Californian Governor Gavin Newsom ultimately picked someone else instead.
“Can you imagine Meghan Markle – a US senator,” Mr Bond said.
“It’s a long running thing that the Royal family has nothing to do with politics, they’re impartial, oh not over here – Meghan wants to have her nose in everything.”
