Voice predicated on principle that Aboriginal people are ‘inherently disadvantaged’

Indigenous activist Myles Jerrard has revealed why he is voting ‘No’ to the Voice to Parliament and addressed the confusion surrounding the debate.

“This Voice is predicated on a principle that Aboriginal people are inherently disadvantaged,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“If we enshrine that in our constitution, it is forever.

“I do not want that for my children, I do not want that for the next generation.”

Australians will head to the ballot box on October 14 to vote in the Voice referendum, which the polls suggest could be heading for defeat.
