The president and directors of the Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce congratulated the United National Congress (UNC) and the Peoples National Movement (PNM) on winning the local government elections.

In a release, it said, "Though the results have ended in a tie again, we are certain that both parties will work together for the mutual benefit of Trinidad and Tobago. Our Chamber reaffirms our commitment to partner with both the UNC and the PNM in supporting policies geared towards the holistic development of our national community and we look forward to engaging with you and your team to continue to promote business activity to stimulate economic growth."
