The late US president Warren G. Harding’s flag-draped casket is borne on a horse-drawn artillery caisson as the funeral procession leaves the White House. — Otago Witness, 2.10.1923

Washington, August 8: In intense heat, which prostrated scores of soldiers and onlookers, the American nation this morning paid its last official respects to the late President Harding, when his remains were borne in solemn procession from White House to the Capitol along the same route that Mr Harding traversed on the day he was inaugurated as President.
