‘No one is getting hurt’ Israelian protests a demonstration of democracy

10 months in news

The protests in Israel surrounding their judiciary are a demonstration of how free and democratic a country it is, according to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

“The judiciary in Israel is a very important check on government action but it also has become its own oligarchy,” Rabbi Shmuley Boteach told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“Everyone agreed there had to be some kind of judicial reform.

“In Israel, no violence, no one is getting hurt – they’re just protesting something and we’ll see the Israelian people work it out.”
