Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Johnny Mercer says UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is “making progress” with the five pledges he promised when he was sworn into office six months ago.

Mr Mercer’s remarks come after Rishi Sunak received criticism on his progress with the five pledges with many believing he won’t achieve his promise.

“We’re six months in and it’s difficult, it is difficult, solving migration is difficult it’s not easy, halving inflation is difficult and all these other things,” Mr Mercer told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.
