Longtime NDP politician and former city councillor Olivia Chow is the winner of Toronto’s mayoral race after fending off a late surge by her closest competitor, Ana Bailão, who served as deputy mayor under John Tory. Chow ran on a campaign of affordable housing, stopping renovictions and improving public transit.
