There is a lot of snobbery surrounding the homes we live in. But the property sneer that most amuses me refers to the type of people “who have to buy their own furniture”.Presumably, the lack of multi-generational wealth which allows you to furnish a whole house with inherited antiques can be seen as a character flaw among the smart set.
