AFL had a ‘quid pro quo’ when it came to sudden Yes stance on Voice

about 1 year in news

The AFL had a “quid pro quo” from their head of inclusion which resulted in the entire organisation’s sudden Yes stance on the Voice to Parliament, says Saturday Herald Sun columnist Steve Price.

“The AFL’s head of inclusion sent out a memo to every AFL club in the competition, wanting to know what their attitude was going to be on the referendum on the Voice, urging a Yes position,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“Now that’s not being widely reported, I mean clearly what’s happened here is a quid pro quo.”
