There is “no subtlety” when it comes to former United States president Donald Trump after his ad campaign against rival Ron DeSantis alleged the Governor ate pudding using only his fingers, says filmmaker Ami Horowitz.

“This is where we have sunk too,” Mr Horowitz told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“It’s almost like he’s behind, that Trump needs to do something crazy or radical to move ahead.

“He is not running from behind, he is running from ahead, which goes against all the conventional wisdom of how you run a campaign when you’re ahead.”
