Sky News host Cory Bernardi says we live in a world where “truth is no longer the most important thing”.

“It's how you make people feel that really matters,” he said.

“This was brought home to me after playing footage of that Dalai Lama engaging in a revolting sex act with a child.”

Mr Bernardi called out the “disgusting and perverted” behaviour he considered the act to be, which prompted an angry viewer to send an email to him.

“Hurt feelings are more important than having to think and use your brain cells, and this type of attitude is everywhere,” he said.
