Liberal party ‘won’t succeed’ unless united

Former foreign minister Alexander Downer says the Liberal party won’t succeed as a political party unless united together.

His comments come as Shadow Foreign Minister Simon Birmingham revealed he was not on board with a no vote to the voice of parliament.

“Divide parties find it very difficult to convince the public and if you're not clear about what you stand for then you can't expect the public to embalm what you stand for,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“They have to be clear, they have to be united and in that way, they can start to rebuild their brand".
