Ukraine is ‘fighting to the death’ as Russia commits 500,000 more to the front lines

Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee Former Chair Michael Danby says the “Ukrainians are fighting to the death” in the war as Russia commits 500,000 more soldiers at the front.

“The Ukrainians are fighting to the death along the Donbas front, so it’s hardly over,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“The Russians lost an entire elite marine brigade armed with the latest tanks, so they’re doing really badly – but there’s a lot of Russians to go.

“There's 500,000 new ones at the front and unlimited supplies of ammunition unlike people supplied by the west.”
