RBA governor questioned on comments made at lunch with bond traders

over 1 year in news

RBA Governor Philip Lowe has denied reports that a "move on the bond rate" on the day of his lunch with bond traders “was a result of what he said at that lunch," says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

“He went as far as to mention times of when he made his comments and when the bonds moved – he said the bonds moved first,” Mr Clennell said.

“But he did say he would not be repeating such lunches just before the Reserve Bank's economic statement was made.”
