Albanese facing ‘revolt’ after idea to stop religious school discriminating based on faith

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says the Albanese government is now facing a “revolt” from every faith in the country following the idea of stopping religious schools from discriminating against teachers based on faith.

“The big picture here is that we live in a new woke tyranny, where if you don't believe what this new elite believes you should believe, then you should be banned, or bullied, or suppressed,” Mr Bolt said.

“The Albanese government asked the Australian Law Reform Commission to come up with an idea on how to stop religious schools from discriminating not just against children but teachers.

“The result so far is a discussion paper ... which effectively says religious schools should be banned from insisting all teaching staff should be, say Christian if it’s a Christian school.”
