Herald Sun crime reporter Anthony Dowsley says he finds it “perplexing” police will have the ability to recruit lawyers as informants.
“Lawyers – you've got obligations, you've got privilege,” Mr Dowsley told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“You can't abandon that privilege, and it just seems to me that the lessons haven't been learned.”
