Nationals MP Keith Pitt says, “off the back” of Labor’s budget they “cut all the things that were supporting gas exploration”.

“They cut the programs for carbon capture and storage for example - a technology which is being used around the world,” Mr Pitt told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“They’ve sold 600 of these high-pressure pumps for CCS and yet in Australia well it’s just not going to be used by the Labor government.”

Mr Pitt said all of those things are bad as “you need more supply to drive down prices”.
