‘Not enough places’ for an Australian renter as inflation is causing increased rent

over 1 year in news

Sky News host Paul Murray says inflation and the rising cost of living pressures are causing Australians to struggle with rental conditions.

“Firstly, there’s not enough places for people to be able to rent, be they people on a pension, people by themselves, people with themselves and a couple of kids or your classic, nuclear family,” Mr Murray said.

“There are not enough places – and of the places that are around, they are going up by the day.

“Why because the interest rates are going up, which means the repayments keep going up, but nothing to see here.”
