Victoria’s Premier Daniel Andrews says they have provided "substantial additional funding for our defence force veterans” after being asked if he would commit to giving veterans the support needed through employment and health services.

Mr Andrews said he has provided that “substantial additional funding” for “those from our emergency services because PTSD and some of those challenges are there for both those groups”.

“We’ve got a massive health reform agenda in this state. People would remember we had a Royal Commission a couple years ago”.

“90 per cent of those recommendations we’ve already started work, 60 per cent we’ve already done them and that’s really really important.

Mr Andrews said his announcement of a “state-based veterans’ card” would also provide access to employment programs.
