Sky News host Paul Murray says US television network NBC has now “suspended the reporter responsible” for a news story with "strange" details about the attack on US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi.

“How is it that a free-to-air news network in the United States puts this information to air – not in a live cross – but in a pre-taped piece, it goes through all of the hands, but only one person is suspended? Told you it was strange,” Mr Murray said.

The news package involved details about the incident, in which it alleged Paul Pelosi walked towards his attacker and away from the police during the attack.

“Now this bloke is suspended and NBC says it’s because it fanned right-wing conspiracies.”
