Author Rabbi Shmuley Boteach says rapper Kanye West is a “real anti-Semitic” unlike comedian Dave Chappelle, who is under fire for a controversial opening monologue on Saturday Night Live.

Chappelle joked that early in his career he learned there are two words in the English language you should never put together – “the” and “Jews”.

“I’ve never heard anyone do good after they said that,” Chappelle said during Saturday Night Live.

Rabbi Shmuley said in contrast to Chappelle’s joke on the show, Kanye West, who goes by the name Ye, had “every opportunity” to repudiate the “disgusting” and “vile” comments he made about Jewish people.

“He just keeps on digging deeper into that anti-Semitic pit,” he said.
