‘Wrong’ to use natural disasters for ‘radical green left activism’

Sky News host Chris Kenny says it’s wrong to use natural disasters for “politically charged, radical green-left activism”.

The charges laid against Blockade Australia protester Mali Cooper were dropped in Lismore Court on Tuesday, after her barrister provided “medical evidence to the court” that showed she had “developed anxiety from her concerns about climate change", according to The Daily Telegraph.

The 22-year-old protester locked her head to the steering wheel of her car in June, stopping traffic from entering the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.

“We cannot allow climate extremism to be used as an excuse for climate extremism,” Mr Kenny said.

“Otherwise we present a green light for any protester to do anything on any issue they deem to be adding to their own mental lack of well-being.”
