Cop forum posts racist predictions on J'Ouvert Parade violence

They're back. And their remarks are just as despicable.

Anonymous posters on an unofficial police message board are making more racist fake bets on violence at the upcoming New York Caribbean Carnival Parade and the J’Ouvert celebration.

In a new twist, users of the Thee RANT website also make racist and cruel quips about City Councilman and police critic Jumaane Williams, whose name has been mentioned as a possible candidate for governor.

“He’s a borderline retardate, and comes from a race of borderline retardates!” a user called “Broom” wrote of Williams on the site, which is frequented by current and retired cops.

“He is a (expletive) cave man-jumunga bunga mon,” added “HAPD.” “Perhaps his cornrows that he has gotten rid of took away his magical negro powers.”

The comments also touched on Tourette syndrome, a neurological disorder that Williams has. “The Councilman was on Tucker (Carlson) last night ... He was twitching like there was some kind of condition,” “TrueBlue” wrote. Todd Maisel/New York Daily News J'ouvert had a violent night last year with more people shot and stabbed.

WasintheBag replied, “If Jumaane is the cream of the crop, it’s been a pretty bad year for farmers. Last time I saw somebody shake like that was on Soul Train.”

Mirroring a similar thread in 2016, the posts also speculated about the prospects for violence during the upcoming J’Ouvert celebration.

“4 public service homicides, 2 gunshot survivors, 6 stabbings, 2 a-- whuppings, 1 head stomping. 2 politicians complaining about the police,” wrote “Bozo Da Cop.”

This year’s festivities are slated for Sept. 4, with the J’Ouvert gathering starting at 6 a.m., rather than 2 a.m. out of concern for public safety. The NYPD also is shutting down the parade route during J’Ouvert and assigning more officers to the area.

The New York Caribbean Carnival Parade (formerly known as the West Indian American Day Parade) begins 11 a.m. along Eastern Parkway. tapatalk.com Another anonymous poster's makes a bleak prediction.

The New York Caribbean Carnival Parade and J’Ouvert, the largest of New York’s annual Caribbean Labor Day weekend events, are run by separate, nonaffiliated organizations.

Later in the online thread, “Lexisman” offers some media criticism. “The Press has discovered that there is violence at this parade now that white people have moved into the area,” the poster writes.

“They will call us racist for our insensitive remarks, but they are the racists for refusing to take action to save the lives of the blacks that are slaughtered each and every year on Eastern Parkway.”

Contacted by the Daily News Friday, Williams — who was arrested by police in 2011 for trying to enter a frozen zone at the parade — tried to take the harsh comments in stride.

“While I’d like to say I’m surprised, the truth of the matter is that I’m not,” Williams said. tapatalk.com Two more anonymous cops make wagers on the New York Caribbean Carnival Parade violence.

“This highlights the difficulty of having conversations with people who under the cloak of anonymity honestly believe the comments they’ve written,” he added. “What is highlighted is how much people fear equity.”
