Kanye West has spoken out about his decision to use what appear to be large, black trash bags to sell his Yeezy Gap x Balenciaga collaboration.

The 45-year-old rapper and fashion designer has argued the line's style and distribution is environmentally friendly and was not intended to mock homeless people.

In an interview with Fox News, Mr West confirmed the clothes were being sold out of construction bags and said, “I’m an innovator, and I'm not here to sit up and apologize about my ideas”.

"That's exactly what the media tries to do. Make us apologize for any idea that doesn't fall under exactly the way they want us to think."
