Firefighters Work to Control Flames After Armani Flees Wildfires on Exclusive Sicilian Island

Firefighters were working to contain fires burning in Pantelleria, Italy, on Thursday, August 18, according to the Vigili del Fuoco, Italy’s fire and rescue service. The Vigili del Fuoco said 20 firefighters and five rescue vehicles were deployed to control the fires and that no structures are currently at risk. According to local news reports, prosecutors are investigating the cause of the fires. This footage uploaded to the Vigili del Fuoco website shows the burned area and Canadair planes releasing water over the fires.
