Officebreaker Falls Asleep in Office, Stolen Phones Found in Knapsack

A 25-year-old man from St. James who was discovered sleeping in a Montego Bay commercial premises with two stolen phones in his knapsack was granted $100,000 bail in the St. James Parish Court on Wednesday. Amando Thorpe was arraigned before presiding parish judge Sasha Smith-Ashley on a charge of officebreaking and larceny.  According to the facts presented in court, the complainant securely locked his office on Jimmy Cliff Boulevard and returned the next day to find his window open.  Thorpe was discovered sleeping in the office, and when his knapsack was searched, two mobiles phone belonging to a security officer…
