Bondi Rescue star Clint Kimmins was stood down from his job as a lifeguard on Bondi Beach by the Waverley Council for refusing to reveal his COVID vaccination status.

“It was very harsh and abrupt – it does hurt,” he told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“We deal with … fisherman falling off the rocks, shark attacks, lost children, car accidents – all of these things that we’re happy to do and we’re happy to help.

“And then all of a sudden when there’s pressure from, I think, the government … we’re just shown the back door and it’s not even a ‘thank you for your service, I’m sorry things ended this way’.”
