about 3 years in TT News day
CENTRAL Sports Club of Invaders Recreational Ground, Felicity and Chaguanas West MP Dinesh Rambally have launched an eight-week cricket training camp for primary and secondary school students.
The camp bowled off on Saturday at the ground and continues every Sunday from 8:30am to noon.
Current and former players and coaches Rayad Emrit, Imran Jan, Ryan Austin and Marlon Richards will also be part of the development camp. Other familiar local players are also expected to join.
A statement issued by Rambally said the pandemic has caused untold psychological hardship to many of TT’s children. This camp provides them with an opportunity to “regain their childhood, and feel the beneficial impact of a sport such as cricket on their body and mind”.
Central Sports Club has been in existence since 1913. They compete in the premiership division of the National League; the highest level of domestic cricket.
