Former Tory MP and author Jeffrey Archer says former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan asked to see him before entering politics.

“I thought blimey, that takes a lot of courage,” he told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.

Mr Archer said people forget the years Mr Khan “fought to become prime minister” and his failures before taking the top job.

“He had the courage to risk his life in politics,” he said.
