Labor ‘continues to throw grenades’ at Coalition government

about 2 years in news

Sky News host Chris Smith says Labor has “continued to toss grenades” at the Liberals – despite ousting them from being government.

“After all, taking swipes at a government and playing nasty personal politics, becomes a daily routine, and routines are tough to break,” he said.

Mr Smith said Labor had done this every day and blamed the previous Coalition government for its shortcomings – such as “inaccurate economic forecasts” and the global power crisis.

“We were told during the election campaign, Labor had the plans, a plan for productivity, a plan for wage rises, a plan to arrest the cost of living, a plan to make power prices cheaper, and even a plan to arrest the debt,” he said.

“Maybe there's a huge difference between delivering great-sounding election promises, and the reality of being in the hot seats.”
