Andrew Symonds' life will be celebrated in a memorial in Townsville today, after the cricket star's death this month.

Former teammates including Adam Gilchrist, Darren Lehmann and Ian Healy will be among those commemorating Symonds at the Riverway Stadium.

The all-rounder's family and friends will gather for a private funeral service before the memorial.
