Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan says the contents of the recently released Sue Gray report of Downing Street parties during lockdown are “almost too outrageous to believe”.

“More apologies, more insincere excuses and then always a few laughs,” he said.

“The only thing he’s really sorry about is the fact that he got caught.”

Mr Morgan said Mr Johnson getting fined by the police for breaking lockdown rules would have “done in any normal prime minister” and it is probable he lied to parliament.

“That always used to a resignation offence but will it be for him? I doubt it,” he said.

“The devil is always in the details and today’s report is a rap sheet from hypocritical hell.”
